You will find your driver near the Maritime Station and, with him, you will get to Sorrento. On the road he will stop to the most panoramic places to let you take pictures and will tell you some anectodes about the area. Once arrived in Piazza Tasso, the most important square of Sorrento, you will have the chance to take a stroll through the historic center.

The tour includes a stop in the beautiful town of Positano. Probably the best description of the hamlet was made by John Steinbeck in his first trip to this town: “It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone. Its houses climb a hill so steep it would be a cliff except that stairs are cut in it. I believe that whereas most house foundations are vertical, in Positano they are horizontal. The small curving bay of unbelievably blue and green water laps gently on a beach of small pebbles. There is only one narrow street and it does not come down to the water. Everything else is stairs, some of them as steep as ladders. You do not walk to visit a friend, you either climb or slide.”

With our tour you will have the chance to visit Amalfi, townlet that gives the name to the coast. It was the first of the four Maritime Republics, and for a long time held the monopoly of trade with the East. Overlooking the main square, there is the Cathedral of St. Andrew, one of the most beautiful in Italy. It is located on top of an impressive staircase and it’s façade is decorated with mosaics and with the famous bronze doors imported from Costantinopoli and Chapel of Crucified.

Not far drom Amalfi there is Ravello, a garden of beauties, full of history, art and flowers.  Among the main attractions there are the Duomo of St. Pantaleone, built in the 1086, Villa Rufolo, a real architectural masterpiece and the famous Belvedere Cimbrone, the furthest point of the ridge on which Ravello lies.

After the visit of Ravello your driver will take you back to the ship.
