This day excursion is designed for those who wish to go back in to the ancient times by visiting Cerveteri,on of the most important Etruscan cities and Ostia, the ancient port of the city of Rome. Not too far from Rome, in the countryside of the city lay the ancient town of Ostia. Our driver will pick you up right outside the ship and you will spend the first half of the day exploring the beautifully preserved 2nd century ruins of the once thriving Ancient Osita with one of our personal private licensed guides. This marvelously preserved site presents Roman life at the time of the Caesars. From bars and bathrooms to boarding houses and brothels, Ostia illustrates how both noble and normal people used to live, functione and interacte in this port city. You will spend the duration of your morning here, sightseeing on foot before you head off to lunch and before getting to Cerveteri, where one of the best preserved Etruscan tombs still remaining in the world, before starting the driving back to the port.
